Novel Polymerases for Isothermal Amplification

Seeking end-users who needs a superior polymerase for their applications

SUMMARY OF INVENTION

Researchers at UiT have developed a novel set of polymerases from an Arctic Marine organism.

Our first DNA polymerase, IsoPolTM, is already commercially available.

Those unsatisfied with their current amplification conditions, are welcome to influence development of our novel polymerases.

KEY ENZYME PROPERTIES

  • Excellent processivity and strong strand-displacement activity
  • High salt tolerance
  • Active at ambient temperatures (25-45 °C)
  • No exonuclease activity (5´-3´or 3´-5´)

CUSTOMER-DRIVEN DEVELOPMENT

Prototype samples from our novel set of DNA polymerases are available for in-house testing in customer relevant applications. Based on customer feedback, we can use our structure‐based engineering library to select custom variants that fits required features and specifications for different technologies. All polymerases will be available through our commercial partner ArcticZymes and sold with implied license.

ENZYME DEVELOPMENT & SUPPLY

Out-licensing & supply of new unique polymerases. By providing custom      enzyme development, and access to our panel of enzymes, we will  meet the needs that companies have for new polymerases.
