Our goal is to assist with business development and to strengthen the existing industry in Northern Norway. Since 1993, we have been involved in the creation of more than 30 companies, which has resulted in 350-400 high technology jobs in the region. As an innovation company located at the Tromsø Science Park, we are a centre for the establishment of new research-based and high technology companies, and for management of innovation projects.

Norinnova, which is short for Northern Innovations, changed its name from Tromsø Science Park Limited in 2003. In 2011 Norinnova AS merged with TTO Nord AS (Transfer Technology Office) and changed its name to Norinnova Technology Transfer AS (NTT). The new company shall combine the role as a transfer technology unit from the R & D environments with the role as a business developer. NNT is a subsidiary of Norut AS, of which the University of Tromsø is the largest shareholder. Through this the company is strongly rooted in the R & D environments in Tromsø and also has a close collaboration with the knowledge-intensive industry in Northern Norway.
